we have identified the problem with the ad that is obscuring the drop down liat and are working with the advertiser to make a change to their ad - (it's a problem that can occur in flash files). As it relates to slowness, we are communicating with the ad serving company about these problem and hope to have a resolution sometime toward the end of next week.

we are continuing to work on this problem. sorry for the downtime last night. ugggh - got new cell phone and switched providers, thought I had updated my cell phone email address in all of our monitors but missed a few and sailnet was one of them and never got alert from monitoring system - my humblest apologies. On the other hand my new HTC Evo phone is very cool. I resisted touch screens for a while after winding up hating my 1st generation Iphone and traded that for a low tech phone with a keyboard. I'm still not a big fan of touch screen texting but the cool features outweigh the touch screen downsides.

in addition the winds were crazy great on the Chesapeake Bay yesterday - awesome in fact. Had the bay to ourselves - all the power boaters were afraid to come out.

I was having problems with the ads and the slowness until I downloaded Ad Block plus and subscribed to one of the filters that they suggested. Everything has been fine since then.

I appreciate this site and support SailNet whenever possible. I'm sorry to have to block some of the advertisers, but then I change channels on the TV when commercials come on too. This message board is something that I enjoy and it's pretty damn nice of the owners to provide it for us.
