Server php error message

When trying to access http://www.sailnet.com/boatsearch.html

I get the following error message:

Catchable fatal error: Object of class ArrayObject could not be converted to string in /mnt/EMC/USEDBOATS_Servers/www.usedboats.com/_lib/Zend/Filter/Alnum.php on line 113

Although this appears to be a server error, for your info I am using Ubuntu 10.04 LTS, running Chrome 8.0.552.210 beta as the browser. I have had no other issues on various PHP powered scripts.

BTW, your website has an excessively slow response time when clicking on links, and I know that others have reported this. Any advice as to why?

I'm guessing that error originates with "usedboats.com" - I'm getting the same thing with Chrome as well. There are parts of this site that are not fully maintained and updated.

The speed issue is a mystery... plenty of complaints, and attempts have been made to improve things. The worst episodes were caused by bandwidth greedy ads. It also does seem browser related, in terms of degrees of slowness, with Chrome being the fastest.

It's a shame because it's probably costing us member participation.

Yes, I agree, it definitely costs member participation. I only visit here every once in a while, and give up as I am frustrated every time.

I am active participant in other forums (not all sailing related), and this is the worst one for lagging.

Do you know what attempts have been made to make things work better? I would hope that the site owners have access to competent technical help... I have enough knowledge to be dangerous , but without knowing what has been done, it is hard to suggest alternative actions.

Not specifically, no. That is outside my area of expertise (if I have one at all ) and well beyond the duties of the moderators here. I'll notify admin here; there may be more info forthcoming.
