I must be doing something wrong

Yep, I'm a nubee.
So, twice today I was perusing SN. Found a thread I thought I might contribute something beneficial and started typing. When done I hit submit and was immediately thrown back to a login screen saying I haven't logged in yet.

???

I was logged in. Twice!

Do I not have permissions to post in all visible threads? Am I missing something? Is there a timer that logs me out after a certain period of time?

What am I doing wrong? Please help.

Also, if you're reading this then I'm completely baffled. Why am I able to post here/now but not earlier? Aw heck with it. I'm going to bed.

I think sailnet's servers must be having some issues. I no longer receive emails from my subscribed forums and have had some issues logging in as well. Don't know what the answer is...
