Im excited about buying this boat but before I pull the trigger...

I cant find a manual bilge pump is there one?

Don't know what boat you're buying, but not all 22' sailboats come with a manual bilge.
My first sailboat was 22', and it didn't. You can purchase a portable, manual bilge pump
at almost any chandlery.

I don't know anything about Seafarer's, just glad to hear you're doing some research on it.
Have you lined up a surveyor to check it out?

Yes SHE is a Seafarer, You can find info @ Seafarer Reasearch Center and Seafarer Homepage on the net. The seafarer line rangedd from 22 up to 38 feet manufactured in Hunington Long Island, NY. They ceased operation in 1984 do to the economy.
They were designed by S&S and McCurdy and Rhodes. I currently own a 1980, bought new at the factory 26 foot and a 1982 30 foot bought 5 years ago and I also owned a 23 foot Seafarer. All great crusing family boats, The Seafarer originally were manufactured in Holland before being built in the US.

I had a Seafarer 22 for about seven years and I really liked the boat except for the older style hatch cover (the picture shows the newer design). The only way I found to pump out the bilge on my boat was to use a pump that I could fit down through the hole in the cabin sole that the table leg fit in and pump it into a bucket. Luckily she never took on much water.

Good luck.
