Kent Narrows

Planning on heading north through Kent Narrows on July 2. High tide is at 1:25PM or so. My fin keel Catalina 27 draws around 4ft. Tide direction is predicted to be 005 degrees at around 0.5 knots. Has anyone been through recently? Any issues or shoaling to be aware of?

Josh

We made it through the narrows. Hugged the greens all the way and saw depths around 4.0 ft. The reward was a glorious reach with around 12 knots of wind into the Patspsco. I would definite be cautious if draft is over 4 ft. We draw 4 ft on our Catalina 27 fin keel. Went through at 11:30 EST, approx. 2 hours before high tide.

We went through this past Sunday (7/7). Heading north, it was about 5', and we did hit bottom for a quick minute, at about the second to last marker. Thanks goodness we were able to keep going!
