Re: Limits of Captains authority

Just find the captain/admiral thing childish and annoying. Like the whole pirate motif crap.

Re: Limits of Captains authority

So it was said that I am wrong because a ship is part of the country of the flag that it flies. Well here: By reading this you surrender the ownership of your boat and all legal authority to me! Anybody can say anything they want. When a ship is out at sea in a life threatening situation, is the legal jurisdiction that the ship is under the first thing on anyone's mind? What nationality the ship belong to isn't going to make any difference to anyone until it gets back to port.

SOOO what if you are out at sea far far away and the crew decided you are on your own they will just sit back and be leaches eating up your food drinking all your stash of booze and start to order you around, now what do you do.
