anchor swivels

Just installing a new Rochna #33 with 200ft of 3/8 chain on my Beneteau 46. I am interested in any feedback on using a swivel attached to the shank of the anchor vs. a large shackle. Any Feedback would be appreciated.

I happened to be speaking to the fellow who is the Rocna Oz distributer at the recent Sydney Boat Show. When I mentioned swivels he simply shook his head. Reality is its an expense and a complication which you can do without.

While we have one connected to our Bruce it is really only my own laziness that has it still installed.
