A generous offer, aka "freebie"

Steve Dashew at setsail.com is offering free download do two of his books: one on weather forecasting, the other on heavy weather tactics. For those who might not know of Steve, he's a long time cruiser sailor, who with his wife, Linda, has sailed more sea miles than God. Steve is also a successful designer of both sail and power vessels, a very good photographer and an all round nice guy.

Visit his site and avail yourself of his generous offer.

While you're there have a look at his FPB power boat designs. I've been aboard his and it's a real voyaging machine. I have it from a very good source that "FPB" is short for "F**king Power Boat", which should tell you something about Steve's sense of humor.

Very nice. I recently finished reading Kretschmer's "Sailing a Serious Ocean" and he referenced Dashew's storm tactics a in contrast to his own a couple of times. Think I'll take a read for myself. Thanks!
