spanish bowline

this knot may be better than the bowline on a bight for towing...form a bight in the line looping it up over the line, cross the standing and free ends of the line hold the top and fold the center under forming two half hitches,push the bight throught each half hitch. This knot will also work as an improvised bosons chair.

Also known as "Chair knot"...
CAUTION: When using spanish bowline as a bosons chair and/or for rescue attempts, make sure that the person on the line is holding firmly to the standing part of the line at chest level to avoid being tipped out...
