I do a safety tour - where stuff is etc.. then depending on experience tell them to stay out of the way (where to sit to be out of the way even), touch no lines (ropes) and to obey the skipper at all times.

Then I tell them to take off their tops and see if it works.

After which my wife normally kicks me.

Just for the record, it's only worked for guys so far.
