it was a blast on friday afternoon from Angel island to the Bay Bridge.

There's a saying: "If you can sail The Bay, you can sail anywhere".
I learned to sail there before LORAN, GPS or small boat Radar.
Left 07/07/1970 on a circumnavigation. Still sailing.
By the way, the Enterprise, our biggest carrier at the time, missed the opening through the Golden Gate and went hard aground on the Marin side; so even the professionals can get into trouble in the bay.
The Bay is a great place to sail; learn to reef and go where you please. You are the captain, not the weather.
