Uh, Malcom, you might've closed your companionway and hatch? And that "dead engine", does it have anything to do with your jib sheets, lacking a stopper knot, going overboard and into your prop?
I withold further comment except to be very glad the rescuers were able to stay near and on their capsized boat. Malcom feels bad enough already without losing them, too.
From what I read that guy got a bad rap. His crew panicked and without his knowledge radioed a mayday. The boat was ultimately found washed ashore in reasonable good condition.
Those are huge waves, stay away from that stuff. Hopefully everybody made it out.
