OUPV License

Can anyone tell me how do you pay the government fee for the OUPV license. I was told to go to pay.gov but it is not exactly clear which form to use. Thanks.

It was confusing... Lesssee....

It was this: USCG Merchant Mariner User Fee Payment

Here is the link:
https://www.pay.gov/paygov/forms/for...FormId=4795779

You will get an automated email message that begins thus:
Your payment has been submitted to Pay.gov and the details are below. If you have any questions regarding this payment, please contact National Maritime Center iasknmc@uscg.mil at (888) 427-5662.

Still have questions. The 3Bs school says I have to pay $145. That is not a choice given, only 100, 90, 95, and 50.

Re: OUPV License

There are two fees ...one is original " Evaluation fee" $100.

The other is an " issuance" fee $45.00.

I don't know if the "issuance fee" pops up in subsequent pages..after you fill out the form and hit $100. and go to the next page or not ?

The 1st page doesn't take your credit card..so you can probably cancel the transaction if you don't see the $45.00 fee in subsequent pages and call them for clarification

I've always used a consultant and just sent the checks and documents to him.

Sending in the paperwork and the money might be the most confusing part. Flunking the physical was the easiest part.

The process is documented here;http://www.uscg.mil/nmc/default.asp

I compiled all of the information required from this checklist: http://www.uscg.mil/nmc/credentials/...V.pdf&B1=GO%21

Then, I emailed my application packet as a .pdf (must be less than 10MB) to a Reginal Exam Center (I used REC-MIA-AppSubmission@uscg.mil). It was then forwarded on to D05-PF-NMC-1-RECAppSubmission-TOL@uscg.mil.
