not as good a story as you think/ I got invited to go fishing on a boat by an old salty captain. he had been doing charters for many years . when pulling back into dock a local liveaboard was on the dock and offered to lend a hand. someone threw him a
line and the captain yelled "make it fast" Then said "hurry up, i said make it fast!!". with him much my elder and being the captain and the person who invited me i said nothing but it has been bothering me because i was sure he was using the terminology wrong and expected him to do it quickly by saying that. Just wanted to make sure i knew the proper meaning.
Thanks for clairifying it.
