New to sailing and not sure about the concept of "Swinging the Compass" to compile a up-to-date deviation table for my Boat.
Can someone explain a method used to do this?
Thank you Guys
Regards
Gary

No simple task for the uninformed. Get yourself a copy of Bowditch or Dutton''s for an explanation, read the appropriate section to familiarize yourself and then find someone in your marina who has done it before to assist you. Also, use of a GPS can be helpful. Most GPS instruction manuals will have a section on this. Good luck!
