Free charts? You lucky american fellows...

Hi everyone

Just thought of sharing something I've came across recently:

BookletChart™ (Experimental)

Enjoy!

Regards!

No more than I wished we had it in Portugal, but here, beside having to pay arround 30€ for a paper chart, its almost certain that we'll find it obsolete regarding lights and nav aids...

What a shame...

Ours are well-made and updated fairly frequently, and the Notice to Mariners system means you can update any old chart accurately as needed (if you have the brains to do so). Of course, this is also true of the U.S. charts. It's free, yes, but it may not be current or even recently updated. The onus is on the mariner to notice!

But 30€ is excessive. Canadian charts are $20, which is about 12€.
