Going to the library after work to pick up the book. Saw all the videos.

Still enjoying Chapman's. So much there to digest. Awesome book.

I'll give you my humble opinion after I review it. the DVD set is fantastic.

Chapman's, I believe, will be my favorite book. Amazing compilation. Great pictures, and its 2009 up to date.

IMHO the book is one of the best basic seamanship books around, especially because it concentrates exclusively on sailboats. My top three basic texts are Annapolis Book of Seamanship, The Complete Sailor, The Glenan's Sailing Manual (if its good enough for Moitessier it good enough for me).

Actually I love the DVD series, but I'm reading Chapman's all the time.

I occasionally re-watch the Annapolis series through Netflix. John is an excellent teacher, communicates in a way I understand.

Chapman's goes into more depth than the DVD series, but quite frankly I haven't read John's books, yet. I'll probably buy eventually. I liked what I saw when I got the book from the library.

I just can't get enough information, as I now officially have sailboat on the brain. Just bought another dinghy sailing boat two days ago.

Three (3) boats and counting.

I'm a n00b! I only get on here when I'm on my "man I really need a sail boat" days. I've totally enjoyed Johns instruction! Good work dude!

I agree I have watched them all from Netflix, one that I really liked and was not mentioned is Learn How to Sail with Penny Whiting.
