Thinking of crewing... need advice.

Hello all. My wife and I are planning to crew for a few skippers in Florida, for several weeks at a time. This is our first venture into crewing for "strangers", via the PressGang site and such. We we''re wondering what the concensus is from all of you on crewing for people you don''t really know? I know, I know, it depends alot on compatibility and such that makes a good cruise. We are looking for feedback from the many of you whom crew regulary, or have in the past. It seems that there is alot of crewing that goes on with regards to finding berth on the internet, ads such. We''re not worried about "shady folks" taking advantage of us (or worse), because we believe most sailors to be freindly, and open to new friendships. I guess I''m looking for some of you to say it''s O.K. to accept an offer to crew, and that everything generally works out just fine. Thanks.
