Yes, Rich, that is precisely what I am going to do. I am pretty computer naive but my son is a graphic artist so I will get him to take the Ocean Prediction Center Atlantic base chart that you gave the link for, remove all the bold blue lines, add more lat. and long. divisions, crop it to the area of interest, and then take it to a local print shop and print it on large paper. I will make up a couple different scales. I might see if I can get him to put a compass rose on it, too.
I will probably also find use for the standard universal plotting charts that JackDale gave the link to for more detailed navigational planning through the Gulf Stream. I won't be racing but I still want to take advantage of what currents there may be.
