Video: Solo 2,600nm passage Atlantic

I dunno if there is a propper section on the forum for videos to go, but hey, here looks good

I did the Atlantic in Nov/Dec last year and had a bit of a longer passage than usual. But it was great fun

The vid shows my set up for the weather and how I do it. Might be a fair bit different for you, especially if you have crew.

Hey Mark - thanks for sharing and welcome to Sailnet! For those who don't know, Mark is very active on Cruisersforum, and is very good at brewing beer onboard, among other things. If you have time, I suggest checking out his website.

Mark, those are some great videos, dude. I love the navigational advice you dispense to large vessels.

However, your technical jargon is hard for us newbs to follow: "the vangy thing on the boom-vangy"? Heh-heh.

Good stuff mate.

Thanks

Here's my favorite lazarette.

Mind you I have now brought the brewery inside and have taken over the aft head when in a country with high booze prices

Nice video. Definitely jealous of that trip.

Now in St Martin Netherlands Antillies, The Caribbean. Will be here for a few weeks then going down to Antigua for Sailing Week and then slowly south to Trinidad (area) for Hurricane Season. Then Caribbean next year and maybe the USA June 2012 (If all you Americans promise to be on your best behaviour and not shoot me!) passage to New York or up that way somewhere and come south in the Intercoastal Waterway - if the girls are good looking. Otherwise I will go to Canada

Than ks for the nice welcome

Mark

Dude - trust me, the girls are good looking. Okay, maybe not right along the ICW (where the toothless crabbers hang out), but go inland a few hundred paces and you're golden.

As for shooting you, you see the news. We shoot everyone.
