Good Book for celestial nav?

Any suggestions?

I'm struggling through Celestial Navigation in the GPS Age by John Karl.

I'll continue on through, but are there any other suggestions?

There's Bowditch American Practical Navigator, and Dutton's Navigation and Piloting, then there's every one else.
Why? experience, I taught Celestial Navigation.

Thanks, I have Dutton's, and plan on reading it next.
Have you read Karl's book? Just curious what someone with experience (especially with teaching exp) thinks of it. As I begin to understand it...its seems like it was explained in a rather difficult manner?

Yes, I would certainly study Karl if you already have the book.
Here in descending order is a list of books that a well tempered Navigator might be familiar with.

Another vote for Mary Bluwitt's book. Leaves out the complex theory and just explains how to do it!

I am currently going through ASA 107 and have a few books on celestial. I find Burch's book to be very easy to read and understand. FWIW. Starpath sells his book along with a home study course if you want to go that route.

Dutton's Nautical Navigation.
Bowditch, pub #9, which is the basis that all other Navigation books are written on.
Boater's Bowditch.

The first and the last are the two best, But for complete understanding of the logic involve in Navigation then Bowditch, pub #9, is the best over all.
