Re: Bottom paint on prop

So you're saying that nobody had a look at your brother's boat below the waterline for a year and half?

I don't care where your boat lives or what the fouling conditions are- that's playing...

Re: Barnacle buster tool

Here's a novel idea- How about you don't let your bottom get so foul you are tempted to spend $400 on a hairbrained tool to clean it?

Re: Another America’s Cup entry destroyed

Man, those guys are doing a lot of running. Almost seems like it would be worth the weight to have port crew and starboard crew. They would all stay fresher for grinding (which would happen faster as...

Re: Martec folder destroyed by neighbor's electrical problem

Three boats involved (that we know of)- Pearson Triton on the right, Albin 28 in the middle and my client's Ericson 30+ on the left. The Albin is the boat with the inverter problem and his insurance...

Re: point san pablo yacht harbor?

I drove in there once to have a look and the owner zoomed out in his convertible Caddy, pistol in his waistband and actually blocked the road so I couldn't leave until he'd questioned me. True story.

Re: point san pablo yacht harbor?

"Properly maintained"?

Re: DIY - discussion on building a DIY hookah diving compressor

All commercially-available, recreational-level hookahs are based on repurposed oilless air compressors and they are 100% safe for surface supplied air. Virtually the entire hull cleaning industry...

Re: Another America’s Cup entry destroyed

That is not the case. The winner gets to choose the venue and the boat design criteria. The winner does not get to rewrite the Deed of Gift, which is the ruling document for the America's Cup.

Re: AC 72 crashes, 1 dead

I'm pretty sure all the teams went thru training where they jumped off a 10-meter platform and had to activate their Spare Air bottles.

Re: AC 72 crashes, 1 dead

Preliminary reports indicate Artemis’s boat didn’t capsize because the sailors were pushing too hard or made a mistake, as was the case with Team Oracle. The problem was with the boat itself, either...
