Allegra 24

I am currently rebuilding a Bingham Allegra 24. Very stout hull but be careful of any delaminations/problems with glass covered ply. Many Allegras were kit build from the hull. Not many around either.

Heating butyl tape?

I am a user and believer in butyl tape but never have heated it as was suggested in the thread concerning chainplates. I would appreciate some info on how some of you heat butyll tape. Thanks

extending turnbuckles

I just purchased an Islander 30 that has been re-rigged. It appears that the forestay was cut shorter than planned and the turnbuckle has a length of threaded rod fitted as an extender. I do not know...
