Re: bareboat charter with our 1 year old - sleep advice

Well... I guess or sailing approach with Maddie depends on who is with us, where we are and the weather / condition of the seas. More often than not, if Iím doing aggressive, maximum speed, race...

Re: bareboat charter with our 1 year old - sleep advice

Since we feed her around 5 ish to 6 ish and she generally eats what we eat, we've adjusted to all eat at the same time. All that to say the galley and salon table are free and avaialble until it's...

Re: Tach, Alternator odd trouble....

To Maine Sail: I would notice that the alternator wasn't charging after being on a mooring all weekend. The house batteries would be down to 12.2 or so and the starter battery would be at ~ 12.5/6....

Re: Tach, Alternator odd trouble....

Thank you MarkSF and Faster.

I've had the boat 7 years this past July. On rare occasions in the past (maybe2 or 3 times a year at most), while motoring (again the motor RPM was consistent and...

Re: Sailboats in Long Beach / San Pedro, CA

I understand that LAYC in San Pedro offers cheap rentals and promotes sailing for local non-members as an agreement to their club property terms with the city of LA. (A common rumor we hear at...

Re: EFI Outlet in cockpit.

I believe it pops but I'll head down today or tomorrow, plug in a light then disconnect shore and see to be sure. I assume it pops becasue I have to reset it when I reconnect to shore.

Re: EFI Outlet in cockpit.

I cannot reset it, even with no load. The reset and test buttons have no effect (when off of shore power). I'm yet to stick my voltage meter in it when not on shore power. I'll look this week.

Re: EFI Outlet in cockpit.

Nothing was wired to keep it from working at select times.

Keeoing it simple, the GFI only works with shore power. Not with inverter or gen. Again, I've tried two GFIs (so that's not it) AND a...

Re: EFI Outlet in cockpit.

No other GFIs on boat at all. That is the only one.

Inverter is the super size - Xantrex Freedom SW3012 12V 3000W Inverter/Charger -. Had it professionally installed.

So likely then the...

EFI Outlet in cockpit.

Not an electrician and learning so go easy on me.

I have numerous 110 outlets on the boat that work under shore power or when the inverter is engaged. All of that works swimmingly.

I had a...

St6002 Autopilot / E127 MFD - Falls of tracking / auto often.

Not sure if this is an E127 issue or ST6002 issue but thought I would put this out there while waiting to hear back from Raymarine.

ST6002 & E127 falls off "Auto" and or "Tracking" both randomly....
