I have been using them for years

While this thread is old.....

I have been using them for the last 20 years for my jib sheets. Never had a problem with them. They make changing headsails easier and faser - just button and go.

Thanks for the photos; they help out quite a bit. I know it is doable. I can get an idea about the "key" size and location from the photo that has a chisel and hammer.
