Well. I needed a new holding tank, one was stinkin and only 6 gallons, decided to take advantange of available space so I made one. New one holds 14 gallons and still fits in same location as old one...

I hope to have atleast 12" of separation between backstay and antenna, a little less at the top of the mast and quite a bit more toward the bottom. Right up against the back stay wouldn't work so...

As far as a modem goes..not too sure about that as of yet as I am just getting the basics . But what I have found is there are some very good ways to communicate via HF on the amateur...

I would take a proven offshore of smaller size than larger boat of questionable offshore ability...not saying a larger boat wouldnt be better but something about a full keel and protected rudder and...

I would call a rigging company. Try riggingonly.com in MA. They helped me upgrade the rigging on my Alberg 30. I am sure there are companies ot there that could help. They may have NOS(NEW OLD STOCK)...
