Re: P30 strut?

Sounds like it corroded where it bolts to the hull. Thanks for the lead, I'll see if I can track it down.

P30 strut?

Just found out I need a new strut for the prop shaft. Anyone know where I could get one, and likely cost?

Thanks!

Another point of view

I agree with others that you very well may want a larger boat in the end, BUT - there is merit in your plan to start small. I bought a Pearson 30 two years ago in fantastic shape for $6500. Love...

Did the P30 come with plumbing for a bilge pump originally? I assumed the setup I inherited was original - a manual pump setup and bilge outlet at the port-side rear of the cockpit. Maybe a bad...

Bilge pump question

My PO removed the manual bilge pump and the associated hoses. I'm interested in putting an automatic one in, maybe with an on/off switch. I see that the bilge water is intended to be pumped into...

Another thing that would be good to check while she's out of the water is the condition of the rudder. From Jack Hornor's review of P30:

I'm on the Magothy River off the Chesapeake Bay. Water is brakish. Dock has bubblers.

Definitely hear you on getting the seacock installed. I have a suspicion that there are lots of P30s...

How do you winterize galley sink?

I'm wintering over in the water, and I'm wondering how others tackled winterizing the galley sink, given it has no seacock and that the drainpipe will be full of raw water about half way up. I'm...
