Re: Crealock-34 head

Groko (Patrick) rebuilt my 1988 Model K. Turns out he was the one who had assembled back in '88. It now pumps smoothly, no leaks and the big stuff goes down effortlessly. Don't forget! ...

Re: PS 37 boarding ladder size

Something to consider when choosing the ladder location as I learned when picking up a shoreboat. Shoreboats often do not want to pull along the side your boat that has an overhanging BBQ...

Re: PS 37 boarding ladder size

I just recently purchased the Mystic stainless boarding ladder for my PSC 34.

I ordered their longest length which I believe was 72".
I'm so glad I did because it makes getting upright on the...

Re: Backing up a Pacific Seacraft

I don't feel the prop walk like I did on my previous boat (Cal 34). I have however modified my reverse technique in that I put her in reverse and raise the RPM enough to get some good speed. ...

Table upgrade and stereo install

Hi All,
Just wanted to share a couple photos of some changes to Charity Rose.
I found that the sole mounted cabin table was always in my way.
On my previous sailboat (Cal 34) the table folded up...

Group 24 fit my 34' PSC battery compartment?

I'm not down at the boat so don't have an opportunity to measure the battery compartment in the port cockpit locker. I'm thinking it will accomodate (2) group 24's. Can anyone verify if this is...

Re: Should it (the binnacle) stay or should it go

I'd button her up and find something else that needs fixing. I've started a few projects only to find a couple hours in that the project will be 3 to 4 times bigger than I had originally accounted...

Re: Crealock-34 head

The Grocko is the throne worthy of a king. It uses a full sized toilet seat as opposed to the little ones in the cheaper jabscos. Believe me ! You will not regret spending the money on a...

Re: Crealock-34 head

My 1988 PSC 34 was delivered from the factory with a Grocko model K.
My guess is a model K would fit your setup as well.
Well built unit as well. Just had mine rebuilt. So it lasted 25 years...

Re: Calling all crapper experts

Side note to the Hose issue. I sent my Groko back to the Manufacturer in Maine (I think it was). Sent to have it rebuilt. Got it back about 3 weeks ago. Wound up using the old hoses as they...

Re: Sheets for a PSC 34 V berth

Bill, thanks so much for that explanation. I can tell you put alot of thought and effort into your sheet solution. I'm afraid I'm not quite that industrious and may go the route of King sized...

Re: Stereo woofer placement and size

Raindog,

My 34 is configured to have the quarter birth actually be a cockpit locker which is handy as I feel a little safer tossing things in that locker and letting them bang around a bit as...

Thanks Raindog for giving me an answer instead of suggesting alternatives or suggesting I may be crazy. I'm gonna take a look at that quarterbirth location. However I don't have the quarterbirth...

Had mine replaced on my 3GM by a mechanic. He took the entire tranny out and brought it to his shop. It looked like a big job doing all that and cost me about $750.

Dave's solution sounds so...

I cannot speak to the 37 but I've been in some challenging seas with my 34. At age 55 I felt like I had plenty of boat there to manage. Something larger may have felt a little more difficult to...

Do you hop into the V-Berth head fwd or aft

I know its kind of a crazy question.
But seems easier to get out of the v birth if my head is forward.
But with 2 people seems there is more elbow room with my head aft but that makes it awfully...

Re: Volume of refrigerator box on a PS37?

Sorry I can't say I know the volume of the fridge on the 37.
I know the 34 measured out at about 9 cubic feet.
37 may be a bit bigger. I'd plan on 12 and your golden.

Re: Cockpit Lazarette Repair

The core is most likely rotten to the core. LOL.
I'm thinking the best you can do without removing all the core and is cut away the (I'm guessing) plywood core to at least a 2" margin around the...
