Re: They should part out this one

No issue with delamination of bulkheads on my 30 O'Day. Looks beautiful throughout. Some soft spots on deck adjacent to shrouds but chain plates fine.

Re: O'Day 30 Cutless Bearing Dimensions

Thank-you for the response. I had the boat hauled out and while on a trailer made the repairs.

Although I purchased the Duramax cutlass bearing (BAIT) the existing cutlass bearing was good and so...

Re: Replace Wheel with Tiller? Can it be done?

Why do you want a tiller? My O'Day 30 came with a tiller and the first owner replaced it with Edson wheel steering. The tiller hardware still protrudes from the stern cockpit helm surface. Curious?

Re: They should part out this one

Darn. How do I miss these things? I could have used a bunch of the parts off of this boat. My family loves our old O'Day 30 1978. I think we have spent 100 nights on it in four years and all the...

Re: Holding Tank O'Day 30

Interesting Denise...

Mine is a 1978 and quite different. Galley is to port. Under settees empty cavities except for a seacock to port to supply water to head and air conditioning.

Think I...

Re: Holding Tank O'Day 30

Denise it is interesting that your tank is under the vee berth. Under my vee berth there is a fresh water tank that appears to occupy the entire cavity. This thing must hold 50+ gallons of water...

Holding Tank O'Day 30

I need to redo the plumbing and holding tank in my O'Day 30. Neither the tank or plumbing was ever optimal. I have several questions:

New Engine Suggestions

My old O'Day 30 has a YSB-12 that I rebuilt. Runs well but it is only 12hp and having one cylinder rattles my eyeballs in their sockets at idle. One day I may return this boat down to the coast and...

Re: O'Day 30 Swing Keel Rigging

I added a block and rigged so as to have a 2:1 advantage and it works fine now. Had boat hauled and bottom cleaned last year and there was no sign of obstruction.

Re: Stern Ladder for O'Day 30

Denise,

My ladder looks nothing like that. If I could find one like yours that would be perfect. Wonder if D&R Marine would have one? I will check. I added the teak steps to my rails. ...

Re: Stern Ladder for O'Day 30

I probably could add an extension but my experience with those things is that they swing in when stepping on them and that would put it into the rudder.

Wisconsin? Brrrrr.... we leave our boats...
