Just a thought, are you using the rubber like seals over the top of the tank openings before you close the top when you are not using the stove? This helps the evaporation thing a lot.

We installed an origo two burner stove on our B-24 this season, it works great, coffee, eggs and sausage for breakfast, pasta for dinner, it boils water quickly enough to not notice having to "wait"...

You can do what We did on our Bristol 24, I attached a stringer (1x1) along the face of both settees, then spanned the gap with a couple of planks, put in filler cushions to gain the same thickness...
