i replaced a thru hull in water when i first got my ericson in 2004.. it was a 1979 installed seeping wonder. it is a wonder that it didnt go away soooner....

omygods i have been doing it wrong since 1990 omygods imagonnadie.
i pour it onto the connections and hose and look for ANY bubbling.
you will see a cluster of tiny bubbles at the leak...
