I used the cold galvanizing paint on my iron keel in spots, then primer then antifoul

well see how long it lasts:)

I was fighting tides and stuff so thats the reason for that decision

what size boat? if small you can rig up a quick release stay to a pad...and rig pretty quick

a good backing plate and or tie rod to the hull is almost a must in all boats

if you already have an inner stay a quick jib downhaul is all you need for "solo"...

just drag the chain on the beach behind a quad...then use cheap galv paint...jejeje

no paint job is worth it on anchor chain other than for depth markers when scoping out

on my old wooden boat the po was awesome and gave me a spool of monel sezing wire...
really expensive but worth it

I used it for a lot of stuff but this is great for rigging...and what you want...

if anything check forums for locval knowledge, cruiser nets on the radio, ssb if you have them and other boats when you...

changing lower unit oil is a walk in the park...since you did have oil come out the exhasut check those seals if you can...

yup, some engines have foam filer elements...usually o outboards there is just the intale tract...

its pretty simple to take off the carb...some use clamps, or screws or whatever...

draining...

I dont want to add too much to this thread since it would be considered BIASED im second country on the list

to note to date there has only been 1 cruiser related crime and that was when booze was...

like tom maine says make a thick spline that you can press into...dont woryy if its oversize or to tall...you will...

like the links I posted you have oil coming out the exhaust through the prop from sitting in this position for a while

2. the intake looked like it had oil in the black...

for example a lot of boats are sold as projects...eve on the hard for a bargain price...if knowleadgeable the buyer wont have any issues with that as its a given stuff will...
