What I did is taper the end of the #8 wire,...

Re: CS36T Fuel filter Westerbeke 44B

Thanks for your help guys, makes me more confident that I'm not missing something stupid that I was supposed to turn off, drain or adjust prior to changing the fuel filters. The manual only states...

Re: CS36T Fuel filter Westerbeke 44B

Hey Faster, yes I wondered the same thing and I thought that when the engine was replaced that maybe the installer swapped the return and send? but they seem to be correct according to the original...

CS36T Fuel filter Westerbeke 44B

I did some engine maintenance for first time on my new to me CS36. The boat was repowered with a Westerbeke 44B in 2009. Fuel tank is original.

When replacing the fuel filters I shut off the fuel...

Re: CS36 Outhaul

Yes, exactly. That is how I would usually adjust the outhaul.

So I'm guessing that the purchase is there to be able to make adjustments without having to resort to a winch? I haven't tried the...

Re: CS36 Outhaul

Hmm.. that's something to consider. Although I'm not sure that's reason the manufacturer installed the blocks. The reef lines don't have the block and tackle system. And although they don't see the...

CS36 Outhaul

I am replacing some worn sheaves and running rigging on my CS36T. I noticed that the original setup on this boat has a 4:1 block and tackle inside the boom for the outhaul. I'm thinking of just...

Hey Maine Sail, thanks, i had a feeling that might be the case. And thanks for pointing out that the siphon break should be between the pump and the back of the bowl. I missed that part reading peggy...

Re: Previous owner wants property tax credit?

Thought you guys might want to know what action I took. I sent him a reply saying show me documentation that you paid pro-rated taxes on the front end when you bought the boat as you want me to do,...

Re: Previous owner wants property tax credit?

I should add that the broker was the Seller's broker but acted as the buyer's and seller's brokers in this transaction as I did not have a broker working for me.

Re: Previous owner wants property tax credit?

You guys brought up some good points which led me to go back and review the contract and that puts a whole new twist on things.

There is/was no lien on the boat, see number 9. below.

The...

Re: Previous owner wants property tax credit?

Yes, seems like you are correct on that. So The period being billed for is July 1st 2013 - June 30th 2014, billed to whoever was the owner on Jan 1st 2013.

Re: Previous owner wants property tax credit?

This is the main reason why I lean towards not paying anything. He likely had the benefit of some months of not paying taxes on the front end, just as I will surely have paid for some months that I...

Re: Previous owner wants property tax credit?

The taxes are for Jan 1st 2013 through Jan 1st 2014. As Bradhamlet said they ususally send the bill around August so he probably just got the bill and isn't too happy about that.
