Take your time, don't skimp because it will be dangerous and you don't want to jeopardize the ones you love, and most importantly only use West Marine as a last resort. I have spent 2 years...

I have a 6' draft on my 34 Pearson that I bought recently. When I found it, it was sitting on the keel in the mud leaning against the dock. The previous owner told me that only happens at low tide....

S-2 stanchion backing plates

I just replaced all stanchion as well as bow,and stern rail backing plates on my 34 Pearson. The manufacture used fiberglass and other than being nasty from years of water penetration they held up...
