It was not an option but letting out the main which is attached to the arch seems to be more than enough to do the same job as the traveler

I have a new Beneteau 45......no traveler. Single rudder and jib cars.....the wide beam, centered mast and hard chine all make it sail really well....very neutral and flat at 8-9knots
