Starting the new season, I thought it would be a good idea to test the inflatable PFDs. So, I took them home and inflated them through the oral inflator.

Big 'Oh shite' moment: One of them, the...

For a 200 gallon tank, the standard shock sanitization schedule using laundry grade (5%) Clorox would be ~80 ounces of Clorox per 200 gallons. Then a soak for one hour ... 2 hours Max. This...

Re: Beautiful Alberg on the cover of GOB is

Well eBay claims that it is easy to get your money back, but it seems that neither buyers nor sellers are happy with the process. So for me, it would have to be "cheap enough" to not be bothered by a...

Re: How to cut stainless steel railing

I got my tubing from Grainger (http://www.grainger.com/content/about-us). Fittings on eBay from Aurora Canvas.

Pretty cheap. And it seems to be holding up well.

Re: Taking my Precision 23 to the KEYS!

It pretty much depends upon how far you want to venture in a single day. It's a bit over 22 miles out to the marquesses Keys, so it's a good day sail, with an overnighter inside Mooney Harbor. The...

Re: Florida Keys, Best Anti-Fouling

I've had good results using Ameron ABC 3. It's a commercial ablative paint and usually runs $100-$125 a gallon.

Re: Florida Keys, Best Anti-Fouling

Your boat is going to be in the toughest area on
