It's very satisfying to do a job like that. You might try bleaching that top board with oxalic acid or Tip Top Teak to get a more even color.

Jabsco makes four conversion kits. Avoid this one as it is very noisy.
The others are all pretty good.
You can also reuse your bowl with a Raritan Sea Era conversion kit.
