Re: farymann diesel generator

UP thanks for your advice.

Was the Farymann the generator engine or your primary drive engine?

Mine is strictly generator, and I am hoping to get it back running as I don't have a new generator...

Re: farymann diesel generator

Is that your Farymann?

What are the pro's and con's of that engine? I will say, mine was very loud and I don't know if there was a way to keep it quieter, although since it won't start right now,...

Re: BEST Sailing in Florida for possible relocation from New England

I think I have heard of some bareboat available at Burnt Store. I don't know the details though. A close friend of mine was considering it.

I just bought a place in Port Charlotte, and my boat is...

Re: farymann diesel generator

Thanks.

Solenoid does not seem to make any noise with key (but I haven't had a second set of ears either).

I will check for 12 V at starter Solenoid when I get back to the boat.

Hello Experts,

I am the owner of a 84 Allmand 35 sailboat that I bought about 6 months ago. I have an interesting problem with my genset. When I turn the genset key, will not crank.

Past...

Re: New to coastal cruising and live aboard

Brian,

i always worry when someone with a lot of experience asks a question like that.

The reason I am leaning to Burnt Store is that Charlotte harbor seems like a great spot to go for a quick...

She has been renamed before (multiple times LOL)

As...

Re: Seaworthiness

Old Old post, but I have a C-22. What part of Jersey are these Chrysler's in and are they still in use?

I travel to Jersey often and would love to talk to someone still sailing one.

Chrysler 22

Been sailing my C-22 for about 15 years. It will remain my Minnesota boat as I buy a place in Florida.

Any other active Chrysler's out there?

Re: New to sailing (sort of) and just got 2 boats (yeah, you read that right)

I have two boats as well, but at least they are not project boats!

WOW is all can say. The use of it as a liveaboard in SF does make a lot of sense.

Keep us in the look.
