if you buy local you can a address any problems face to face in quick order. if you buy online buy the time you get a problem corrected sailing season could almost be over.

"Annapolis and Chapman's are good and cover everything, but without a doubt "Sailing for Dummies"is the best for beginners. Also the ASA has one called "Sailing Made Easy".
