Re: Will a Airmar DST800 transducer fit in a Navman thru hull?

Thanks for the info MarkSF. That's what I was afraid of, but the boats' out of water, so I can make any needed changes this spring.

I'll look into the bronze thru hull too.

I have an old Navman speed transducer in a plastic thru hull (it can be taken out and replaced with a plug) that no longer works. I'm hoping I can just replace it with an Airmar DST800 transducer -...

Re: Owner's Manual for P303 ?

I scanned a PDF version of the Pearson 303 (1984) Owners Manual, but I have to get to 10 total posts here before they will let me upload or link to it, so just ignore the following.

Hey Charles,

Happy to help - give me a couple of days to pull it all together into one PDF.

I've attached some documents you may be interested in in the mean time.

Re: Owner's Manual for P303 ?

I have a paper copy - if no one chimes in with an electronic copy, I'd be willing to scan it (would love to have a soft copy on board myself)

Re: Hey! From Someone New to Cruising

Thanks for the great suggestions! Would you wax the spars too? they are painted fairly recently, so I don't see the need, but what do you think?

Re: Hey! From Someone New to Cruising

Great suggestions - thanks! It will be good to inspect the halyards - something I could not do in the pre-purchase survey and something that is a real pain to fix on a bosun chair!

Re: how do you remove old boat lettering

You may also want to buy some adhesive remover to make sure you remove everything, not just the vinyl letters. Any residual adhesive will resist waxing and eventually attract dirt.
