Re: Tips and tricks for getting rid of crab/lobster floats

Helms 27?
So, I've manage to eliminate almost my entire list of candidate boats for one reason or other.
There is a Tartan 27 that I still have to look at. My impression from walking the docks was of an old...

She is beautiful under sail. I've watched her go in and out a few times this season from just down the street at Portland Yacht Services. Nice to hear you had a good time. :)

I have a spot in my heart for Cheoy Lee, they are very pretty boats.
That said.
Be prepared for a huge project. At that price, I'm going to bet that the teak deck isn't in the best of shape. If...

Thought 1: Yowzers! That is an ugly boat!
Thought 2: No reason to call for help. That boat ain't sinkin'. The sea don't want her.

Re: I've never sailed in my life... talk me into it.
The best advice so far is to look into clubs, lessons, and shares. You'll get experience, make sailing connections, get to sail on different boats, and figure out what you do/don't like. Then you're...
