Is there a way to know what the damage is? Pin holes may be hard to find. Im sure a normal survey wouldnt find these things. What do you suggest?

Yes, work visas are a big deal. Do not work outside of the US without permission from the govt of the land you are working in. You can go to jail for that in some spots.
