I've chartered a lot with both Island Cruising and San Juan Sailing. Never had a bad experience with either. As a matter of fact, we have a charter with Island Cruising booked for Sept.

If there is a flood there is often a back eddie that flows down the Vancouver Island coast to Race Rocks. We like to ride that and then cut across. It keeps you out of the Victoria - Port Angeles...

I leave mine up...
I do, however, run up sacrifical halyards. Any old line will work. Good quality, non stretch halyards are too expensive to leave exposed all winter if you're not sailing.

Gotta vote for Conch! Good service and reasonable prices. The boat wasn't new but we saved about $1000 compared to what The Moorings offered. I'm going back next year and it will be with Conch.
