Re: PS 37 boarding ladder size

I found when I mounted my similar ladder at the gate that the genoa sheet would frequently hang on it.
The ladder's home while underway is on the mast side of the port mast pulpit.
I also added a...

Re: Stow location for batteries on PSC 34

A post from awhile back but we were redirected to this thread from a newer one.
I replace AGMs on Crazy Fish a long time ago with 4 T-105s basically because of the cost and the lifecycles.

The...

Re: Should it (the binnacle) stay or should it go

Have a spare Merriman that I need to sell one of these days as I converted the boat to tiller. I would sell it for less then $1000.

Re: Anyone do a soundproofing kit on a PSC?

PSC installed insulation in the engine compartment of Crazy Fish. It was about 1 inch thick with a white vinyl-like exterior surface. It began to crumble away a number of years ago.

All but...

Re: Calling all crapper experts

On Crazy Fish I have replaced the head 3 times and replaced the sanitation hoses a few times.

The biggest issue with the hoses is the time it takes for the hoses to break down and the sewage smell...

Re: Inflatable Kayaks

For the Advanced Elements and for other kayaks that they carry I would suggest purchasing them from REI and take advantage of their generous return policy if not satisfied with the kayak. We recently...

Re: advice for first solo, overnight, offshore

I find the Watch Commander from SailSafely really useful for setting sleep/nap alarms while underway. Set the interval and reset it within interval time and no alarm sounds. Quiet alarm sounds if...

Re: Any ideas on this Hooka type dive compressor system?

Yes I was referring to the + rating on the tank.
For a couple of years there was no hydro testing station that I could find in LA, Orange or San Diego county that would test for the + rating.

Re: Any ideas on this Hooka type dive compressor system?

Look at the stampings on the tank up near the neck.

You should see DOT (Dept of transportation) or ICC (Interstate Commerce Commission ??) stamped into it.

You should see 3AA stamped into it. ...

Re: Any ideas on this Hooka type dive compressor system?

A few points.

1. How long a tank will last is based on its volume not on its pressure.
I have the following tanks in my collection
6 cft tank that fills to 3000psi
80 cft tank that...

Re: KISS Counterpoise installation on a 34
