Hi,
i have a saildrive on My amel with an autoprop.
works amazingly well. The pitch increases the faster you go. 0-8 knots in 4 boat lengths. Reverse is great with minimal walking to port.

Oil in bilge

keep using the pads. then fill the bilge to just below the floorboards with warm water and some 409 or joy liquid. leave a padf or 2 in this water.
let it sit for a day or so. then use new oil pads...

i would use it. what have you got to lose?
worst case the housing of the filter might rust. otherwise a filter is a filter.

I have a 3 cylinder onan generator on board . the zinc is ok and it seems to be properly grounded, but i see the paint bubbling up at the heat exchanger and the fuel filter.

i would go to bermuda. it should only take about 4 days and then another 4-5 days to
florida.

I would run from the wave and try to keep the stern as square to the wave as possible. put the hatchboards in and make sure i am clipped in on a very short teather.

Dear Sailmc,
the 220 volt is no problem.
you can use a regular 50 amp 220 volt plug and hook right into US electric.
the air conditioners (3) and battery chargers (2) will run on 50 or 60 cycles....
