Re: Yanmar 2GM20F mixing elbow Pearson 31-2

Where'd my oil go?

Changed my engine oil and filter at beginning of the summer (3gm30 Yanmar) only to find when I checked it yesterday that the level was almost at the bottom of the dipstick! Good I checked it...! I...

Re: Yanmar 2GM20F mixing elbow Pearson 31-2

Here is what I did with my 3gm30. Took it out this past weekend for three days of motoring and sailing and the engine has never "seemed" to run as good! Smoother and way more cooling water and...

Re: Homemade exhaust riser outcome....

Caleb,

I used black pipe for this system. The silver is high temp paint.

A heat protecting wrap could be used though I am not sure it would be any more needed than on the Yanmar edition...

Hi all, I am about to replace the riser/mixing elbow on my Yanmar 3gm30 and I found this chap who built his own. It looks like a logical and cheap solution! Has anyone out there created one of...

Re: Bent Rudder Post

One late night, whilst motoring full ahead in my 38 Landfall with brain left back at port, we hit a floating telephone pole mid-point out in Puget Sound. It was so big it brought this heavy C&C...

Re: C&C 34+ (or 34/36 or 34 Plus) wing keel question

All I can say is that mine, with the deep keel and bulb, is the fastest racer/cruiser in the up to 36' range I've ever been on. Hit 7.7 knots last weekend in a strong breeze, loaded, pulling dinghy....

Thanks you guys. I always seem to want to get around stuff the easy way... then I talk to folks like you and I feel bad about being half-ass! Then I do it the right way in the end. You're bad and...

Cleaning up the Teak and Holly

In my "new" 23 year old C&C the wood sole is looking pretty sad. As I am not planning on "pimping out this ride" I don't want to totally peel the wood with a heat gun and start afresh. Thinking about...

Re: Knowledge on C&C 37+

Thanks for the feedback. I have had several other C&C's the last one being a 34+. No problems there with coring issues. Has anyone heard of actual cored hull issues on any of these boats?

Hi, I am about to buy a 1993 C&C 37+. Does anyone here know much about these? How they perform and quality? Most important is the cored hull issue and whether this is a common problem in these boats?...
