I have both,I find I use my hard dinghy more as it is nicer to row and I can fish out of it,it is hell on my paint though when the kids are about I bring the inflatable out it is a lot more stable...

Sailing amongst reefs and entering passages is hard enough without a motor unless you are very experienced.If I was you I would pass plenty of good cheap running boats elsewhere.
