It appear as though the company that provides our Chat feature recently updated their software and now one of their modules is being 'mis-classified' by Norton/Symantec and possible containing a virus. Until they have this resolved we have de-activaed chat. We've opened a support incident with Envolve and they will hopefully have this corrected soon.

If you would like to see what an open alcohol flame looks like, put a quarter to a half teaspoon or so of denatured alcohol, ever clear or even 151 in a frying pan and touch it off in the galley. ...

I wasn't aware that they even made -100 degree F antifreeze. If it got that cold here, the palm trees would be exploding along with everything else!

Re: Do dock lines go with the boat?
Dock lines are a consumable/wear item, just like T.P. and fuel.
This cheapskate has probably had them in service for years. If they are at all weathered or chafed, they are not worth worrying...

Brand new shiny gell coat? Probably little if any discoloration and what there is could be cleaned up with a good cleaner/degreaser.
Old dull chalky gellcoat? Absolutely! If you clean off the...

Do any of us really want to go there?
I suggest that everyone avoid Caribbean islands where the local witch doctors are making compounds of puffer fish guts. That should be an effective way to...

Re: Remove your masking tape!
Mineral OIL and mineral SPIRITS are two different things. Both can help remove old tape but mineral oil will leave an oily residue that may be nearly as troublesome as the tape. Mineral spirits...

Re: Low buck projects- Let's see 'em!
If an engine room camera and remote monitor is what you want, I would think one of the "backup cameras" you can find on line for much less than $100 would do the trick. It is all 12 VDC with no need...

YUUUP! Gotta watch the angle of the boom as well as the weight of the lift. A load that is safe when the boom is nearly vertical can get very heavy as the boom is lowered, or swung.

Also, NEVER...
