I had the same thought. In defense of my client he did ask me to to look at one boat that I talked him out of before this one and did ask me to help move the boat. I also put the sails on for him.

It looks like he has worked very hard for a very long time, very nice guy. You never know how much money someone has but I got the sense he was doing OK and was very good at what he did.

Funny you said that. My wife was with us and she told the owners wife that she was pretty sure I would require a copy of the insurance in the future. I usually do.

I'm not saying I'm doing it the right way but I am doing it a different way.

Rather than buying a boat then moving up after a few years and moving up again after a few more...

Many of us may have a choice between spending 50k or 100k, or 100k or 150k, or 150k or 200k on a boat. Assuming we have the money to spend it would be good to know what the expected costs would be.
