Dennis is right on the money. Evaluate the weight of your ground tackle. Multiply by 3
That will give you the proper size range.

As Jeff H. suggests, the volume of the aft sections correlates directly with the yachts bow wave/stern wave handeling ability.
More volume aft generally a faster boat.
